THE curry dish created by a Huddersfield teacher is causing quite a stir in Marks & Spencer stores.

Rahila Hussain won ITV’s Food Glorious Food contest and now her dish is on sale across the country.

And her home store is giving the Oakes woman a major push.

Shoppers at Huddersfield M&S yesterday were enticed to buy her Fragrant White Chicken Korma dishes when they hit the shelves for the first time.

Huddersfield M&S food hall manager Sophie Hudson said: “We have had the dish as our feature so it is the first product people see when they come in the door.

“We also have a TV with the advert playing.

“We’re so excited to sell Rahila’s winning dish. It’s a delicious curry with a great story behind it and we hope shoppers will love it as much as we do.”

Rahila, 44, never had any formal cookery training, but learned skills of Pakistani cuisine from her mum – firstly in Thornton Lodge and then in Edgerton.
