MUCH of Golcar will be in party mood tomorrow – whatever the weather.
It’s Golcar Lily Day and there will be a host of attractions all the way through the day. Click below to see fun pictures from previous Golcar Lily days.
Music is to the fore and there will be performances from Golcar Band, Marsden Band, Huddersfield Wind Band, Slaithwaite Band and Grange Moor Band.
There will also be displays around the village by Morris dancers, stilt walkers and artists.
Many local groups have been working hard on their contributions and there will be numerous stalls and attractions for the whole family, as well as barbecues and beer tents.
A free minibus service will run throughout the day (9am-4pm) serving venues such as Jubilee Square, Pennine Manor, Sycamore Avenue and Parkwood.
Normal service buses are likely to face disruption during the morning because of events in the main village centre.
