A HUDDERSFIELD businesswoman has admitted being a fraud and a benefits cheat.

And Danielle Fisher has been told all sentencing options will be open to the court after she admitted two sets of offences, one of having for sale counterfeit goods and the other relating to housing benefit.

Fisher, 25, of Grisedale Avenue, Birkby, pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court yesterday to 23 offences of exposing or offering for sale items with counterfeit trademarks on December 8, 2011.

At the time Fisher owned the Plan B boutique in Lidget Street, Lindley.

Among the fake goods on offer were three pairs of Ugg boots, two Ugg handbags, two pairs of Ugg gloves, two Jo Malone candles, a Vivienne Westwood handbag, two pairs of Tiffany and Co earrings, four pairs of Hugo Boss socks and two Juicy Couture tracksuits.

Second-hand designer boutique Plan B in Lidget Street, Lindley, suddenly closed down in the summer of 2011.

It had been reported to West Yorkshire Trading Standards after the store closed with little warning and owed shoppers money.

After it was first reported in the Examiner , scores of people got in touch claiming they have also been left out of pocket.

Under an agreement the store would sell other people’s items claiming 35% of the profit and giving the owner 65%.

Fisher also admitted making false statements for housing benefit in relation to an address in Lightenfield Lane, Netherton on September 24, 2010, one in Spruce Drive Mews, Netherton on December 7, 2010 and one in Bourne View Road, Netherton, on July 13, 2011.

Her case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report until June 28 at the request of her defence.

The court was told on that date the prosecution will also be applying for her to be disqualified to be a company director.

Judge Guy Kearl QC bailed Fisher telling her: “I am going to adjourn for a pre-sentence report given your personal circumstances.

“You must understand no promises are given in terms of the outcome of this case. All sentencing options are open.”
