DETECTIVES investigating the shootings in Fartown over the weekend have now arrested seven people.

Three men were arrested yesterday to add to the three held over the weekend.

Another man had been arrested on Monday on suspicion of violent disorder.

The arrests are part of the investigation into the incident on Bradford Road at 3.40pm on Saturday when neighbours reported hearing three shots fired.

Four men were found to be injured and taken to a number of hospitals across West Yorkshire with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police confirmed last night that all seven men who had been in custody – aged between 19 and 31 – were released on bail.

They have been questioned over allegations of violent disorder and possession of a firearm following the incident.

The scene outside Slick Cutz barber’s shop at the junction of Eleanor Street was still cordoned off yesterday morning, with officers on duty.
