THEY have played with some of the biggest names in football.
Pele, Bobby Moore, George Best and Gordon Banks fall casually from their lips.
But despite their legendary status they are always happy to do their bit for their old club, Huddersfield Town.
Frank Worthington, Roy Ellam and Ray Wilson donned Town’s famous blue and white stripes yesterday at Canalside.
It is the 100th anniversary of the club wearing blue and white stripes following the inaugural striped shirt in the 1913/14 campaign.
And there was no disguising the passion of these former players even though some of them, such as England 1966 star Ray Wilson, have not kicked a ball in years.
The club has called upon some of its greatest ever players, a glorious 11, to showcase its new kit as designed by Puma.

Ray said: “Town have done well to stay up though I have no idea how it will turn out this season.”

“Ray was with Bill Shankly while Roy played against Pele in the States.
“He was playing with some of the greatest names in the history of football and it’s great to be in their company if only for an afternoon.”
Roy, 70, who now lives in Mirfield, said: “I played against Pele five times in the United Sates during 1975 and 1976.
“Bobby Moore, Gordon Brown and George Best were there too.
“Although I am Barnsley born and bred I am a Town season ticket holder and I take my nine-year-old grandson Raull with me when I can.
“Last season’s end was something special as you can imagine for me.”
Frank Worthington, perhaps one of the most flamboyant stars this country has ever produced, said: “Boothy is one of my favourites though from a different era and seeing big Roy is fantastic while Ray is the best left back ever in British football.”
