LINDLEY actress Zoe Lucker could be back on our TV screens as a super bitch.
The woman who found fame as nasty Tanya Turner in Footballers Wives is being touted as The Rani - arch-enemy of Doctor Who.
Zoe, 32, is reported to be under consideration by BBC bosses for the role.
The Rani, described as one of the Doctor's most deadly rivals, was first created for the cult series back in the 1980s.
Then she was played by Kate O'Mara, an actress well-versed in playing bitchy roles.
She featured as The Rani in two special episodes of the show.
The Rani is a time traveller like the Doctor but is also a scientific genius capable of creating monsters.
Now she could come face to face with the latest incarnation of the Doctor, played by David Tennant.
Zoe, who played Tanya in every series of Footballers Wives, was last seen on TV as part of a GMTV Volunteers Week special.
She was filmed working with youngsters in Zambia.
She also filmed a visit to India, with Wives' co-star Sarah Barrand, who played Shannon.
A Doctor Who source said: "The Rani was a classic character .
"She's ripe for a return and Zoe is perfect to play her.
"There are similarities between The Rani and bitchy Tanya".
