Tobiasz Minski murderer sentenced to 27 years

DANIEL Sykes has been ordered by a judge to serve a minumum of 27 years in jail for the murder of a Polish student.
Sykes, 25, of Royd Street, Slaithwaite, was found guilty of the murder of Tobiasz Minski by a jury at Leeds Crown Court this morning.
The jury took just over five hours to decide that former soldier Sykes had murdered Tobiasz, 23, after a night out in Huddersfield last November.
Sykes had denied murder but had admitted to burying Tobiasz' body in a shallow grave after discovering his body in the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
