A man has died following an accident at a farm.
Police say they were called alongside paramedics to the scene at farmland on Netherwood Lane in Marsden yesterday afternoon.
A 58-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the accident but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Coroners’ Office have been informed of the death.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called to a report of a work-related death in Marsden on Thursday afternoon.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
Officers alongside paramedics were called to the farm on Netherwood Lane at around 4.20pm.
A spokesman for HSE said: “We have been notified of the death and we are assisted the police with the enquiries.”

Victim named
The victim of the farming accident in Marsden has been named as Richard Bray.
His sister in law Rachael Staite contacted the Examiner with the news.
He is believed to have worked at the farm for several years.
He is 58 and married to Jen Bray. The couple have three children in their late teens and early 20s called April, Joseph and Rachael.
