Firefighter dies in blazing pub
A firefighter has been killed and another injured after a floor collapsed while they were fighting a blaze in a pub.
It happened at the Balmoral bar in Dalry Road, Edinburgh, after the blaze had broken out shortly after midnight.
A Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Tragically, despite the efforts of his colleague, one of these firefighters lost his life."
The other officer has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
About 70 firefighters are tackling the blaze.
