Body found after shooting at store
The body of a woman has been found in a flat after officers shot an armed man during a stand-off in a supermarket.
Police opened fire on a man in Morrisons in Ten Perch Road, Canterbury, Kent, following reports of an armed man inside.
Kent Police said that after the shooting, the body of a woman was found in a flat in Victoria Road in the city.
A police spokesman said: "The death is being treated as suspicious and police are carrying out a forensic examination at the address in Victoria Street.
"Detectives are waiting to question a man who is currently in hospital receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the arm."
