Drivers are experiencing difficulties due to hazardous driving conditions on the M62 around Huddersfield.

While one driver needed the attention of Yorkshire Air Ambulance after a crash on Causewayside in Linthwaite.

Colne Valley's Clr David Ridgway reported that the road ambulance was struggling to access the scene.

Motorists have told the Examiner the snowfall is turning to black ice in places, with many abandoning their cars around the Newsome Road South area due to ice.

A car has also struck a wall on Malvern Road in Newsome, plus another crashed into a post on Meltham Road.
