A COUPLE want to know about haunted homes in Huddersfield - to put in a guide to the area's spooky spots.

Medium Linda Francis and husband Ian, of Ovenden, Halifax, run psychic investigation group Haunted Truths.

They are collating ``fact packs" about the haunted areas they have visited and are keen to add information about Huddersfield to the collection.

The couple want to hear from people living in haunted homes or who work in buildings with supernatural secrets.

Linda and Ian also want Huddersfield people to share their ghostly experiences for a TV programme they hope to make this year.

The couple are in talks with a company to make a supernatural series along the lines of Living TV's Most Haunted, where paranormal investigators visit haunted buildings to search for spirit activity and catch it on camera.

Linda will act as the medium for the Haunted Truths series. She said: "We were approached by the company after they saw our email contact on a listing for groups like ours on the internet.

"For the TV programme, we'd go into someone's house and film overnight.

"We'll also be filming in our own house, which is haunted by the ghost of a nine-year-old Victorian girl."

Linda and Ian are hoping to sign a contract with the TV company soon and expect their series to be filmed and broadcast this year.

But for people who cannot wait, they are preparing to sell DVDs featuring footage from previous Haunted Truths investigations.

These have taken place in locations from York Dungeons and Manchester United's boardroom.

Linda says she was born a medium and has been taking part in ``ghost hunts" for years.

But she only started filming her investigations in 2000.

Ian provides the technical support, filming the vigils or taking photos of supernatural happenings.

Yorkshire psychic Peter Leckie also contributes his medium, astrology, tarot reader and witchcraft skills to Haunted Truths, as well as running his own operation, called Ghost- quest.

Linda said: "I concentrate on crystals and ouija boards.

"A lot of people don't like those, but I'm not frightened. There is nothing to be frightened of."

Linda's confidence comes from a lifetime of experiencing supernatural events.

She says her family were Romanies and her mother and grandmother were both mediums - though this was hidden from Linda until she was 14.

She said: "When I was small I heard voices and saw things. But my mum never wanted me to get into it all until I was older.

"It is a full-time job now. It started as a hobby, but everything has snowballed. It's something I enjoy."
