AFTER a successful run at the recent Mrs Sunderland music Festival, Marsh Ladies are back on the concert trail.

The Ladies are delighted to have won two first prizes at the Sunderland, one for winning Ladies Choir and the other for first place in the Kirklees Choir: Section B for 44 voices and under.

The singers will also take part in a BBC TV recording of Songs Of Praise to be made at the end of March.

Others involved will include older members of Huddersfield Choral Society's junior choirs plus singers from Colne Valley Male Voice Choir and musicians from Sellers International Band.

The Ladies are looking forward to a concert on April 22 at Lindley Methodist Church, where the choir rehearses. The concert will be in aid of the church's building fund.

The choir has called the concert April Airs and soloists will be choir members. John S Bailey will be the accompanist and Paul Iredale will conduct. Tickets are £5.50 including programme.
