Love Island is heading back to our TV screens.

And TV bosses are hoping Huddersfield people will want to follow in the successful footsteps of local boy Max Morley, who won the show last summer.

Max is now living the dream of a celebrity lifestyle.

After winning reality TV show Love Island and £50,000 in Majorca last July, the 23-year-old from Holmfirth was propelled into life’s jet stream, along with glamour model Jessica Hayes.

He had been working as a stonemason at the family firm GLM Stone Sales at Hagg Wood, Honley, as well as playing cricket, when he entered the show.

But within hours of winning the reality show, Max and Jess found themselves giving interviews to the world’s media, including Hello and OK magazines.

He is now a regular in celebrity magazines and earlier this month joined the stars on the red carpet for the cinema premiere of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Since his win, Max’s Twitter following has shot up from 400 to more than 90,000.

Just before he appeared on Love Island, he signed with a Manchester-based model agency, and he has been making celebrity appearances all over the country.

A spokesman for the production company behind the show said: “ITV2 are looking for fun singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of romance.

“Our chosen Islanders will spend six weeks living in a luxury villa, getting to know one another.

“But to remain in paradise they must not only win the hearts of each other but also the public, who ultimately decide who stays on Love Island and who goes home with the £50,000 prize.

“Max was a very popular winner oflast year’s series and we want someone to follow in his footsteps”.
