A LABOUR Parliamentary candidate has been dropped after making offensive remarks on the website Twitter.

Stuart MacLennan had been selected by the party to contest the northern Scottish seat of Moray.

But Labour bosses dropped him today after it emerged that he had made a string of offensive comments on Twitter, including calling old people "coffin-dodgers" and describing a woman as "a boot".

Mr MacLennan has apologised, saying he had been "very, very silly".
