A CRACKDOWN on drivers using mobile phones saw 130 caught and fined.

And police in Huddersfield today vowed: We will continue to target those who drive and talk.

The week-long blitz on motorists using mobile phones while on the move was a joint project with Kirklees Council, concerned about safety on local roads.

Every driver who was trapped in the project had to pay a £60 penalty fine and had three points on their licence.

Others face prosecution for other driving offences detected at the same time.
