We all know Kirklees and Calderdale are full of beautiful views. But with winter setting in, a picturesque walk in the hills might not be first on your to-do list.

Luckily, there's no need to dig out the wellies to check out the best sights in the area - Google Street View has it covered.

We've put together a gallery of images taken directly from Googlemaps of some of the best scenes in Kirklees and Calderdale for you to enjoy.

If you're feeling adventurous - you can see the same views for yourself, without even getting out of your car.

All these scenes are visible through car windows from normal, accessible roads - and we think they prove that Kirklees and Calderdale make West Yorkshire one of the most beautiful counties in the country.

There's no camera tricks, no Photoshop work, and certainly no tramping for miles across the countryside to set up the perfect shot.

So sit back, relax, and take a look through our gallery above.

Credit for the images, of course, goes to Google and the dedicated soles who travel the length and breadth of Britain - and the world - snapping our streets and beautiful scenes like these.
