POLICE stopped 37 drivers during a Brighouse operation to check the safety of vehicles.
Of those, three were reported for no insurance and one vehicle was seized.
Five people were issued with prohibition notices to have defects repaired.
Another four were issued with fixed penalty tickets for a variety of offences, including not wearing a seatbelt.
One driver was issued with a cannabis warning after being searched at the roadside.
Sgt Dean Maddocks said: “This operation was part of our continuing target to deny criminals the use of the roads.
“As well as regular officers, a good number of special constables came to assist, which gives us the opportunity to carry out more checks.
“I would like to thank all those involved in what was very positive day of action.”
Police were joined by VOSA, Customs, Licensing and Warrants officers.
