A man from Batley scooped a £6 million jackpot on Saturday’s National Lottery.

Graham Nield, 55, of Hanging Heaton, only found out 24 hours later when he checked his ticket.

Graham immediately proposed to partner of 10 years, Amanda Vickers, 48.

He had planned to ask her to marry him before but could never pluck up the courage.

The couple will give money to their five children and plan to open a cafe.

“This will be life-changing for us,” said Graham.
