A MOTHER-of-four accused of murdering her boyfriend has told a court she feared for her life.
Julie Harris wept as she told Bradford Crown Court how Graham Carter had her by the throat and she thought he was going to kill her.
Harris, 34, of Smith House Close, Brighouse, said: "He made a lunge at me, grabbed me and was ragging me around.
"I was in fear for my life. I thought he was going to kill me."
The jury was told that Harris then stabbed Mr Carter twice in the back with an eight-inch kitchen knife.
She said she did not intend to hurt him and only had the knife for self-defence.
Mr Carter, 46, died three weeks later of
a heart attack caused by infection, which the prosecution says was caused by the wound.
The case continues.
