A MAN arrested on suspicion of the hit-and-run killing of a Huddersfield student is still on bail.

The 24-year-old from Oldham was detained on February 8 by detectives investigating the death of 18-year-old Adam O’Toole.

He was questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in the incident on March 6, 2007.

Adam, who attended Huddersfield New College, was killed when he was hit by a car as he crossed New Hey Road in Salendine Nook, near the college.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The arrested man remains on bail pending further inquiries.”
