A HOLMFIRTH contestant is through to the final of the Independent Financial Adviser Woman of the Year Award.

Caroline Keegan, 42, has won her way through to the final four contestants in the national competition.

She is the only contestant from Yorkshire to make it to the final round.

The winner will be announced at a gala dinner at Canary Wharf, London, on November 12 .

Caroline attended Holmfirth and Honley high schools as a child and is now a senior consultant with the Yorkshire Investment Group in Pontefract.

She has worked in the financial services industry for 16 years and was previously a civil servant.

Caroline, who is single, was nominated for the award because of her qualifications and experience, but had to submit a written entry and face gruelling interviews in London by the finance editor of a national newspaper and other leading figures in the industry.
