Aiming to be zumba world record breakers for Comic Relief in Batley

IT’S the latest dance craze and could make you a world record breaker too.

IT’S the latest dance craze and could make you a world record breaker too.

Plans are under way for the biggest zumba party in aid of Comic Relief.

Tomorrow at 7pm organisers hope to get 850 people dancing at Batley Sports Centre and raise thousands for the charity effort.

A team of zumba instructors, led by international dance presenter Jo Parry, will take the mega-class for anyone aged over 16.

Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness programme that blends international music.

It also gives the body a good workout without being overly energetic.

For a minimum donation of £2 to Comic Relief participants could help break the record, which stands at 832.

People wanting to take part are being asked to park at the back of Batley Girls’ High School due to the large number of people who may attend.
