The following week, on June 6, the museum will unveil its summer exhibition ‘Basically Banners’ which will showcase unseen mining banners.
A Miners’ Gala will take place on June 8 with a 1940s theme and entertainment for all the family.
Later in June, the Wakefield Little Theatre will perform the play Brassed Off and the Elland Silver Brass Band will perform an outdoor concert.
