A NEW mosaic has been created in Huddersfield’s Greenhead Park.

It has been designed and constructed by students with learning disabilities.

The students who are based at the Swallow Court centre have created the mosaic for display in the Victorian shelter of the park.

Cabinet member for Adult services Cllr Margaret Bates said: “The mosaic has been created from Interesting photographs and images taken by the students who were also encouraged to collect stones, leaves and make wax crayon rubbings.”

The art project was led by John Macdonald from Kirklees Council Adult Services aiming to increase access to the arts for people with physical and learning disabilities.
