ANGRY fathers in decontamination suits targeted a Huddersfield law firm after being incensed by comments made by its head of family law.

Fathers 4 Justice protested for 30 minutes outside Parker Bird on town centre Queen Street, where they tried to present a dummy head to solicitor Karen Woodhead.

The group is part of a national organisation which aims to alter the law to achieve better access rights to children whose parents have split up.

Paul Midgley, Yorkshire co-ordinator of Fathers 4 Justice, said the demonstration was held in response to a statement Mrs Woodhead made in the Examiner.

She was reported to have said: "We have a sensitive and carefully balanced system of law and a mediation process to prevent the need for court hearings."

Mr Midgley added: "What she said was in complete opposition to what Appeal Court judge Sir Nicholas Wall and others have said."

A spokesman for Parker Bird had no comment to make.
