ELISABETH Wilson is the new chairman of Colne Valley Liberal Democrats.
Her election took place at the annual meeting of the party at Marsden Liberal Club.
Dr Wilson has taken over from Clr David Woodhead, who held the post for three years.
At the meeting Clr Nicola Turner, the Parliamentary candidate, urged members to make every effort to ensure Colne Valley returned another Liberal MP.
