The 66th Brighouse Art Circle exhibition was launched at the weekend.

Almost 100 pieces of work went on show at the Smith Art Gallery, which forms part of Brighouse Library.

It was officially opened on Saturday by Deputy Mayor of Calderdale, Clr Lisa Lambert and her Consort father Ken.

June Johnson, Art Circle member, said: “We have 97 pieces of work on display and there’s a real mix of acrylic, paint, watercolour pencils.

“Members like having their work on show, it’s something to work to and an end goal which we can all enjoy.”

Members work is for display and sale and the annual exhibition of members work is free to view and is on show until May 3.

The friendly art club is open to new members and they meet every Thursday at 7.30pm at Waring Green Community Centre, Brighouse.
