Detectives investigating a serious assault in Deighton have released an e-fit of a man they would like to interview.

The assault happened at Glenfield Avenue earlier this month when a 57-year-old man was approached and an argument broke out with a man who was walking his dog.

During the dispute the 57-year-old was struck in the face and suffered a broken jaw.

Officers investigating the attack which happened on May 4 at 3.30pm have now released this e-fit to help trace a suspect.

Det Con Richard Grace from Kirklees CID said: “It is believed that the suspect lives locally to the Deighton area and may walk a Staffordshire Bull Terrier or Pit Bull Terrier type dog.

“We would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured in this efit image or anyone with any information about the assault to get in touch as soon as possible on 101 quoting crime reference number 13150175700.”
