POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the theft of lead roofing from an Oakes property.
The theft was between February 8 and 14 at the Lindley Court Flats at Wellington Street.
The person or persons climbed on to the roof and removed large quantities of lead, causing a great deal of damage.
The flats are in the lower part of the former Oakes Junior School.
Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: "We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen something between these dates to come forward."
