A BRADFORD man is appealing to Huddersfield people to look out for his lost parrot.

Clive Black, of Carbottom Lane in Wibsey, lost his pet bird Izzy in July.

Izzy was a six-year old-male green Alexandrine ring necked parrot he adopted three years ago.

He had been abandoned in the Huddersfield area and brought into the Bradford RSPCA branch where Mr Black volunteers.

Izzy escaped when the bottom of his cage gave way as Mr Black was carrying it indoors.

He has searched in vain since and had given up hope until he was shown an article in the Examiner.

On October 16, we reported how a green parrot had been spotted stealing fruit from trees in Bowness Drive, Dalton and in Ramsden Mill Lane at Golcar.

He said: "It might be Izzy. We were devastated when he left, he was such a lovely bird and could talk, sing and whistle. He was so friendly."

Mr Black can be contacted on 01274 571229 or on 07946 524786.
