PARENTS have been urged to make sure they know what their children are doing this Easter holiday.

The police plea follows vandal attacks on five Huddersfield schools since last Thursday.

Windows have been smashed at Dryclough Infant School, Dryclough Road, Crosland Moor; Rawthorpe Infant and Nursery School on Rawthorpe Lane; Thornton Lodge Nursery School on Yews Hill Road, Lockwood; Reinwood Junior School, Burfitts Road, Oakes; and Bradley Junior School in Sherwood Avenue.

Pc Dave McSweeney, said: "This is just wanton damage, which will cost many hundreds of pounds to repair. We would urge parents to know what their children are doing. The last thing they want is a call to say their child has been arrested."
