SWIMMERS have raised £2000 for the children’s hospice appeal.

These youngsters at the Aqua Strokes classes, held at Fartown High School’s pool, took part in a swimming day for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.

Swimming coach Ruth Walker said: “They all did really well and we raised £2,243 which was brilliant.

“We have always done sponsored swims for Children in Need but this time we wanted to support a local cause and the Forget Me Not Trust is so vital.”
