ARE YOU one of our lucky raffle winners?

Thousands of you snapped up tickets in our grand tsunami raffle.

Examiner advertisers and other kind-hearted local businesses and organisations gave 132 prizes.

And Kirklees Mayor Clr Mary Harkin had her work cut out when she drew winning tickets for all of them.

The draw, which followed Sunday's big fundraising concert at Huddersfield Town Hall, took place at the Examiner office in Queen Street South.

Prizes include a new front door, a bathroom suite and an Amsterdam mini-cruise.

And members of New Mill Male Voice Choir - key organisers of the Huddersfield In Harmony concert and raffle - were there to lend a hand.

Winners can pick up their prizes and vouchers for goods and services from the Examiner from 8.30am on Saturday.

Ideally, people should call in on Saturday, but any day next week will be all right.

Anyone who wants us to keep their prize for longer than that should call the Examiner's customer reception on 01484 430000.

Winners are from all over the North and the Examiner will do its best to notify winners by phone, as well as through this printed list.

Clr Harkin, who made the town hall available for free, said: "I am so impressed at the way Huddersfield people have pulled out all the stops to raise money for the tsunami disaster appeal."

It is hoped the final total raised through the show - which had six choirs and two brass bands - and the raffle will top £15,000.

The concert gained a generous £5,000 sponsorship from Richard Alexander and Alexander Audi car dealerships.

The money will be split between charities aiding families devastated by Boxing Day's killer wave.

The Examiner's Jenny Cattermole said: "When you turn up to collect your prize try to bring your ticket.

"Otherwise, make sure you have some identification with you."

Goodies will be waiting for you in the Examiner's customer reception area.

There is parking for visitors outside the front doors of the building.

In a couple of cases, just a ticket number was listed on the stub, with no name.

If prizes are unclaimed within two weeks, a reserve winner may be drawn.
