GARDEN centre staff are taking part in a charity walk to help abused children.

Five workers from Armitage’s Garden Centre will take on the HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) on September 3.

The company has also donated five gazebos to be used at the checkpoints along the 24-mile course around Buxton in Derbyshire.

West Yorkshire NSPCC spokeswoman Helen Verity said: “We are grateful to Armitage’s for their support.”

HACK registration leaflets are available from Armitage’s garden centres or from www.nspcc.org.uk/buxtonhack
