THE Huddersfield Army Careers Information Office has organised its troops to go head to head with 12 local schools in a rugby knockout tournament next week.
A match between soldiers from the Parachute Regiment and the Duke of Wellington's Own Regiment kicks off in the afternoon.
Then students get involved with a seven-a-side tournament.
The event is next Wednesday at the Lawrence Batley YMCA Centre in Huddersfield.
Friends and family can go along and support their teams while also getting involved with fun activities, such as a mini-assault course, climbing wall and paint- balling.
There is also an opportunity to talk to serving soldiers about Army careers.
Colour Sgt Darren Wythe and Sgt Mark Acklam have organised the event.
Colour Sgt Wythe said: "Events like this help us to highlight the wide range of career opportunities and benefits that Army life offers young people from all backgrounds.
"It also gives us an opportunity to talk to students about the further education, grants and training available."
