SCHOOLS in Huddersfield have just days to enter a road safety competition which could land them a share of prizes worth £40,000.

Motor dealer Arnold Clark, which has a Peugeot and Renault dealership and Motorstore at Leeds Road, has extended the deadline to May 3 for schools to register online for its Schools Challenge.

The competition asks children in years three to six to design artwork for the outside of a vehicle, which will then be brought to life and applied to a car at their local Arnold Clark dealership.

Prizes include £1,000 for the winning school, use of a mini bus for a year, iPad minis, bikes and toy store vouchers.

Schools can register to take part at: www.arnoldclark.com Every school that registers also receives a free road safety pack.

Company chairman Sir Arnold Clark said: “We have created the Arnold Clark Schools’ Challenge to give something back to the local community.’’
