A MAN aged 66 was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash in Lockwood.
The man’s Vauxhall Zafira overturned after it hit a parked Vauxhall Astra in Victoria Road at its junction with Fenton Road at 2am yesterday.
He was stuck in the car when the emergency services arrived.
A neck brace was put on him as a precaution in case he had suffered spinal injuries and then he was placed on a rigid stretcher and lifted out of the back of the car.
He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The man was released after treatment, but arrested on suspicion of drink- driving and taken to Huddersfield police station.
Police arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of drink driving in a separate incident.
The man’s Citroen car was stopped at Rawthorpe Lane in Rawthorpe at 11.40pm on Monday night. The driver was taken to Huddersfield police station.
