BUS fares are rising in Kirklees.
Bus operator Arriva is increasing its maximum fares by 10p in West Yorkshire.
The changes will come into effect on January 4.
A maximum peak fare will then cost £1.80 and a maximum off-peak fare will be £1.20.
While maximum fares rise, all other peak and off-peak fare prices will be frozen.
Adult Day Ticket prices will also stay the same.
Child Day Tickets in Wakefield, Castleford, North Kirklees and Leeds are being discontinued, following the success of the new SchoolPlus pass, which allows children to travel during the day on services run by various operators.
Phil Booker, Arriva commercial director, said: "Most of our fares will continue to remain frozen.
"However, we have had no option but to increase the West Yorkshire maximum fare to reflect our increased operating costs, which include insurance and employment."
