FILM makers, musicians and artists are needed for this year’s Holmfirth Arts Festival.

The popular festival, this year from June 14-24, takes on a Luddite theme to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Luddite uprising in West Yorkshire.

Curators of the festival are now seeking silent films as well as musicians and sound artists to score the movies at a live showing.

Festival organisers are looking for artists to put on art installations, exhibitions, performances and workshops in Holmfirth’s empty shops during the festival.

The organisers are also after artists’ magazines and books to create a festival borrowing library.

A designer is also required to build a unique bookstand to house the artists’ books and magazines in Th’owd Towser.

For submissions and more information email: avavprojects@yahoo.co.uk or visit: www.holmfirthartsfestival.co.uk.

The deadline for submissions is April 30.
