Hollywood A-lister Verne Troyer, best known as Mini Me from the Austin Powers films, is the latest celebrity to be fed by Huddersfield chef Eric Paxman.
The actor star was guest of millionaire businessman and former Examiner columnist Terry George at his Stainland mansion.
And Terry, who owns Fibre nightclub in Leeds, became the latest high-flier to choose Eric’s restaurant as his personal caterer for an American celebrity’s visit to West Yorkshire.
Last month Eric and his team were called to Leeds to provide meals and drinks for Terminator legend Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Now diminutive US star Verne has tasted the Lindley chef’s top grub and Eric said more could be on the way.
“It was brilliant,” said Eric.
“We made him southern fried chicken, mash, gravy and vegetables for the main course; chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert.
“Apparently that’s his favourite dish so we made it as well as we could.”
Eric revealed that the 2ft 8ins tall actor had an appetite similar to his stature but said he had enjoyed his meal.
“He said the food was lovely but we had to take away his first plate of food as it was too big,” he said.
Verne’s host, Terry, told the Examiner the 45-year-old actor was in the UK doing a series of talks at universities.
As they had met before, he had invited him to stay for a weekend of fun in West Yorkshire as Verne was interested in seeing his castle.
The pals battled on Playstation, attended Leeds United’s 2-0 win over Derby and on Sunday evening enjoyed a meal by Eric and singing by Castleford based X Factor contestant Jack Walton.
Terry, whose sprawling country castle mansion won Britain’s Best Home in 2008, said the meal whipped up by the Lindley restaurant boss had been outstanding.
“I'm surprised he hasn’t got a Michelin star,” said Terry.
“It’s amazing, the quality is outstanding and the food tastes exquisite.”
