It’s Huddersfield’s boozer for bibliophiles.
Regulars packed into Lepton’s The Sun Inn as it unveiled its new library.
Huddersfield-born horror author Nick Stead was on hand to officially open the library, which has been transformed from a small room off the main seating area.
Owners Carl and Donna Brayshaw said the aim of the reinvention was to provide a hub for the community following the closure of Lepton’s main library.
Donna said: “Our idea for the library was to give something back to the community and, like every village pub, to be at the very heart of it.”
The area has been fitted out with 600 books, comfy seats and two computer terminals so regulars can enjoy a paperback with their pint.

Donna added: “We were thrilled to have a local author to open our community library and hope that the books inspire other potential writers as well as giving hours of enjoyment to readers and visitors to the pub.”
The project has been supported by Huddersfield District Committee and rural pubs organisation Pub Is The Hub.
Trisha Hughes, from Pub Is The Hub, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Kirklees on this project and applaud their imaginative approach in supporting the creation of the new community library in a place that is warm, comfortable and open seven days a week.
“Donna and Carl have done a tremendous job with this project and it is wonderful for the community.”
