A POPULAR Yorkshire author and illustrator was in Huddersfield at the weekend for the launch of his new book.

Children flocked to the Kingsgate Centre on Saturday as Chris Mould visited Waterstone’s book store for the signing of his latest novel 76 Pumpkin Lane.

Chris, who lives in Bradford with his wife and two daughters, has achieved a huge amount of success recently with his series of books, Something Wickedly Weird, and has even had interest from film companies.

Catherine Haynes, assistant manager at Waterstone’s Kingsgate Centre, said: “Chris’s recent signing at the store was a great success. The children loved him.

“He even drew a character from his Something Wickedly Weird series for the children and showed them his art work.”

Chris also signed copies of his book The Silver Casket, the third instalment in the Something Wickedly Weird series.

He has been a freelance illustrator since graduating from Leeds Polytechnic in 1991.
