FOUR boys from the Holme Valley have been beavering away to gain a top Scouting award.
The lads, all with the 1st Holme Valley (Holmfirth) Beaver Colony, have successfully undertaken a number of assignments to gain the Bronze Chief Scout Award, the highest accolade a Beaver can achieve.
They each had to take six challenge badges, involving a variety of tasks, including several hikes, learning about Fairtrade products, visiting Holmfirth Fire Station and even making their mums a cup of tea.
