A SEX offender who absconded in Cleckheaton while on licence from prison has been arrested.
An urgent appeal was made by police after Paul Sykes, 46, was reported missing from an address in Kirklees. He was last seen on Saturday afternoon at Cleckheaton bus station.
West Yorkshire Police were concerned that he posed a risk to the public, particularly children.
He was located and arrested in West Yorkshire, a police spokeswoman said.
