CHANGES to school funding, which will see some lose money, have been backed by the Cabinet.

Some schools, such as Brighouse High School, look set to lose around £60,000. Others will gain – Rastrick High School is set for a £75,000 boost.

Clr Ashley Evans, Cabinet member for education, said while they would lose some funding, they could gain in the Pupil Premium.

The Examiner reported yesterday that the Government-led changes were about simplifying school funding criteria.
