TWO men were taken to hospital after a car crash in Slaithwaite.

One man was seriously injured in the accident on Radcliffe Road at about 9.40pm on Christmas Eve.

The Honda CRX5 in which they were travelling went out of control as they approached Slaithwaite from Wellhouse and crashed into a wall.

A 25-year-old Slaithwaite man, who was driving, was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary with a broken pelvis and a broken right thigh.

His passenger, a local man aged 21, was taken to the Infirmary with minor cuts and bruising.
