THE main fundraising event for a major West Yorkshire charity will take place on Valentine's Day.
The annual West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust Ball aims to raise up to £10,000.
The charity, founded by Ainley Top mother Linda Senior, aims to build a children's hospice in either Kirklees or Calderdale.
This year's ball - the fourth to be held since the charity was set up - will be at the Hilton Hotel in Bradford on February 14.
Linda said: "It is the main fundraising event in the charity's calendar and we want to sell 300 tickets.
"Almost 200 have already been sold and it promises to be another excellent night."
Huddersfield soul singer Keith Campbell will be heading the entertainment.
Linda said: "We invited him back after a hugely successful appearance at the ball last year."
There will also be a disco, tombola, raffle and auction.
Guests will be able to put in bids for a "sale of the century" for items ranging from a print by Holme Valley artist Trevor Stubley to a washing machine, DVD player and a computer photo-scanner.
Top prize in the raffle is a trip to Disneyland Paris for four people.
Companies can add their logo to the menu and programme for just £25 - but must book the space by the end of January.
More tombola prizes - especially those with a romantic theme - are needed.
Tickets cost £45 each or a table of 10 costs £400. Linda said: "It is an ideal event for companies who may not have had a Christmas meal out. "The ball is always memorable."
* Bradford firefighters produced a calendar of themselves with every penny going to the charity. So far they have raised £10,600. Some of the calendars are still left.
* A charity open golf day will be held at Outlane Golf Club on Sunday August 22. It costs £80 for a team of four to enter and the price includes a buffet meal. For more information phone the golf club on 01422 374762.
