A ROBBER who held up a Colne Valley bank with a replica gun has been jailed for five years.

Andrew Leon Irving, 33, threatened a pregnant cashier at Lloyds Bank in Carr Lane, Slaithwaite, on December 4.

Leeds Crown Court was told he fled with more than £3,500. Irving, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to robbery and possessing an imitation firearm. The court was told he was carrying a replica Colt 45 pistol.

He fled from the bank in a stolen car which he then crashed into a wall. Irving was arrested at his girlfriend’s house at Dewsbury Moor.
