A MAN has been banned from all licensed premises and two shops in Marsden.
Michael John Chadwick was banned until October 13 by Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.
They banned him from the village pubs and clubs and have forbidden him from entering the Co-op store and Seller Scene, both on Peel Street.
Chadwick, 34, of Argyle Street, Marsden, was told he was also forbidden from approaching the shops' employees outside the stores.
He is also not allowed to contact, directly or indirectly, witnesses in a case under investigation by police.
The application for an Asbo was made by the police and Kirklees Council.
They wanted the order because of a series of alleged incidents involving Chadwick in the last six months.
The incidents, all in Marsden, include allegations of theft, assault and anti-social behaviour.
Chadwick denies them.
He often interrupted yesterday's proceedings by calling out.
He also refused to stand while magistrates addressed him.
He said he had hurt his leg and made a comical show of standing up.
